DSP Manager is a fantastic application which can be used to achieve vibrating bass even with your stock headphones.
DSP Manager is like the HTC Beats sound enhancer, but taken to a whole new level. Sadly, this awesome application is not available in the Google Play store and you will need to put in a little bit more effort in order to get it working for your phone. Why? Because it’s part of CyanogenMod and will not work on stock ROMs by default.
However, in this article, I’ll show you how you can install the app on vanilla Android and HTC Sense, which should help you get it running on your own device regardless of which ROM you’re running – as long as you have root access.
Vanilla Android Installation (Any ROM)
1: Download the DSPmanager.apk
2: Put the DSPmanager.apk on /system/app/ and change the permission to 644 (rw-r-r)
3: Fully reboot your phone to take effect (Don't quick reboot your phone)
4: Now start DSPmanager and change the settings you want and enjoy!
The Bass Booster doesn't sounds good as cyanogenmod's soundFX
HTC Sense Installation
You can download it directly on your phone.
For Android 2.3.x users: The Mediafire download may not support on Android stock browser 2.3.5 so i highly recommended you to install Opera Mobile from Play Store.
2: Extract the DSPmanager.zip, Use a file browser of your choice (Root explorer, ES File Explorer, X-plore, etc...)
3: Put the DSPmanager.apk on /system/app/ and change the permission to 644 (rw-r-r)
4: Delete the current .SO files on /system/lib/soundFX/ (It's safe)
5: Put 3 .SO files on /system/lib/soundFX/
6: Fully reboot your phone to take effect (Don't quick reboot your phone)
7: Now start DSPmanager and change the settings you want and enjoy!
